TodayCosting lives in a spreadsheet on one or two laptops. Rates go stale, versions diverge, and nobody can say afterwards which numbers a price was built on.

In GPNOn a supplier account you build your own cost models — six rate tables per model for the materials and processes — and share them view-only with your people by their Google sign-in email. Reopening a saved quote reprices it at today's rates and flags when the totals have moved. Marking a quote Submitted locks it, so a price you already gave a customer never moves again; only a GPN admin can unlock it. The cost break-up and job cost sheet PDFs are offered on your own quotes only, so your cost and margin never travel with the quotation.

TodayEach rep prices from their own copy of the sheet. Revisions get emailed as “final_v3”, and there is no reference that ties a customer's PO back to what was quoted.

In GPNShare one cost model with the team view-only, so they can price against your rates but not change them. Every saved quote gets its own Job Ref, and a re-quote can be saved as a revision — the same reference with the R-number stepped up (R2, R3) — with the original left untouched. Each quote carries a status you set: Draft, Submitted, Lost, Cancelled, Expired or Order Confirmed. Quotes stay in the account that created them; what the shared model standardises is the rates, not a team-wide quote list.

Share it by WhatsApp or email from a phone; on the web the PDF downloads so you can attach it yourself. Rates you reuse can be saved into Manage inputs once and picked from then on.

In GPNSign up on a Buyer account and the directory is open straight away. Search across capability, material, product category and market — several values in one category widen the search, filters from another category narrow it. Open a listing for the full profile, compare up to three side by side, and keep the ones worth returning to on a shortlist saved to your account. SCM holds your own supplier list and their contacts, and lets you invite suppliers you already work with onto GPN by email or WhatsApp. Buyers do not create cost models — those are published by GPN admins or by suppliers — but with calculator access you can price the same job against a published model to see the cost basis. Those figures are working estimates, not a binding quotation.

In GPNBuild the laminate spec layer by layer — film layers, inks and coating, adhesives, pouch type, cylinders, commercial — and watch the per-kg break-up move as you change it. Use Copy & edit to save the alternative as a revision of the same Job Ref, then put up to three of them in a side-by-side comparison you can print or save as a PDF. Printed cartons work the same way, with board, press, die, finishing and pasting.

TodayEvery engagement starts by rebuilding a costing sheet in the client's currency, and the sheet leaves with them along with your rates.

In GPNCost models are country-specific, priced in that country's currency, so a model built for one client's market stays correct for it. On a supplier account you keep a private model per client and share it view-only with named people by their Google sign-in email — they can price with it, but cannot edit it or claim it. Switch on “My rate data only” and the model prices from your rates alone, with a Rate Locked marker shown to anyone using it. Documents you generate carry your own logo, tax details and currency.

Suppliers whose listing matches can respond in the app; each response shows their company name to you, and responses are private to you and that supplier. Close the inquiry when you are done and it stops accepting responses. Alongside it, keep an unlimited shortlist saved to your account and share a three-way comparison as a PDF with whoever signs off.
